…The man behind the music. Andy was born and raised in the small town of Sumner, Washington, USA. His roots are still in Sumner and as an active community member he’ll never forget where he came from! Fans of his are dedicated to his consistent brand of music made uniquely his own by his smooth vocal quality, song content and down home demeanor. Andy loves traditional country music and ads just the right amount of that flavor to his style of alt/folk songs giving them the contemporary edge which makes him marketable in more than one genre, a big plus in today’s music market. Andy’s fan base consists of a broad range of age groups and his current, uplifting, young sound appeals to the masses. The show Andy puts together depends on the venue and he is very comfortable playing solo as well as having a full stage show. Andy Shofner looks the part, sounds the part, but most of all feels it, and it overflows into his performances. His heartfelt song styling’s can make you feel as if you know just exactly who and what he has written about … “it’s like being in his videos watching the songs unfold". Hourglass Records is developing Andy’s musical career by recording, producing, distributing and promoting his first single “Ryan Avenue” written about a piece of his life in his home town. The single is part of a full-length digital and physical CD release. The Label has acquired some of the finest studio musicians in the Northwest, some of which accompany Andy in concert from time to time. Hourglass Records has also encompassed the talents of multiple producers on this CD release. Together, along with top-notch engineers we have created the perfect blend of creativity and ambiances for Andy’s music. This full length release will be followed by a number of CD release appearances and concerts to support his debut.
